"Phil and John” are of course Canadians Phil Naro and John Rogers.
PHIL NARO has been plugging the power of his voice into New York
State bar bands before he was even technically allowed in a bar. He
spent the 1980's honing his skills and his sensibility in a series
of solo and group albums, ready to make his mark in the charts. A
prolific and diverse songwriter and blesses with a voice so
distinctive it leaves critics floundering for accurate analogies.
Passionate about everything he does, Phil is continually
discovering and always developing, new avenues for his creativity.
Phil Naro brings his warmly-familiar signature four-octave range to
the table. He has played with & collaborated with some of
rock's elite. BILLY SHEEHAN, PETER CRISS & LOU GRAMM are just
the short list. JOHNNY ROGERS is best known for his association
with Canadian rockers, “Brighton Rock”. BR was dubbed in 1988 as
Q107‟s Music Rising Star for that year. “Brighton Rock” was
nominated for Juno Awards in 1989 for Most Promising Group of the
Year, and in 1992 for Hard Rock Album of the Year. Their debut CD
had them on the road supporting their first single, “We Came To
Rock” and the ballad release –
“Can‟t Wait For The Night”. Their successful debut tour had them
touring in Texas and the southern U.S.A. following other notable
Canadian rockers like Triumph, Moxy, and Helix. The second Brighton
Rock release “Take A Deep Breath”, produced by the accomplished
Jack Richardson, had them touring England on the strength of two
singles, “ One More Try” and “Hangin‟ High And Dry”. “Take A Deep
Breath” was certified gold in Canada, and made international
airwaves in Germany, Ireland, France and the United Kingdom.
